Major Media Networks are covering the illegal raids on illegal immigrant children in Central America, but not the other end of the story – the crackdown on independent Latino human rights organizations on the front lines of the immigration debate. Human rights advocates expressed alarm that police in El Salvador are raiding organization’s offices and confiscating communications equipment. Last week, police in Chiapas, Mexico raided the offices of Proyecto Centroamericano, a nongovernmental organization to counter forced eviction and protect civil liberties.
Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke spoke to FOX News Radio’s Marie Harf about a growing, persecution of “silent partners” – organizations like Proyecto Centroamericano, they’re facing police raids.
