BTS and Coldplay bring crowd to their feet at American Music Awards
K-pop sensations BTS and Coldplay proved a major draw at the American Music Awards on Sunday night.
BTS won two awards – on YouTube, for Best New Artist and Best Social Artist, for which they received the Fandom Award.

The group, which has three members aged between 18 and 20, came on stage wearing grey hoodies to surprise the host, Tracee Ellis Ross, who told the audience: “I knew we were going to have this incredible performer when I had just broken my ankle just a month ago.”
After they brought her up on stage for their performance, she said: “You’re the greatest Fandom.”
Coldplay, who later won favourite pop rock band and artist of the year, was nominated for five awards but only won one, shared with Imagine Dragons.

Taylor Swift also delivered a stellar performance of her chart-topping hit Look What You Made Me Do, her first performance since dropping the new album Reputation last month. The show featured appearances by superstars including Beyoncé, Jay Z, Rihanna, Eminem, Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber, Chance the Rapper, John Legend, Jack White, Ed Sheeran, Charli XCX, Julia Michaels, Shawn Mendes, Nicki Minaj, Logic, DJ Khaled, Migos, and even her younger sister, Andrea, who joined her on stage to debut a sexy dance number.
